The UA NetID verifies identity when it is used for online services the University of Arizona provides. It consolidates the disparate authentication mechanisms of various UA online services and helps ensure the privacy of personal information and restrict the use of resources to those for whom they are intended.
Those who are off campus but on the UA network, such as employees at University Physicians Healthcare branches, and those accessing UA computers via a departmental VPN will not be affected. Accessing UA WebMail remotely will not require using the VPN. The VPN and Secure Shell, or SSH, software is available free of charge to employees and students.
If working off campus, you must login via the University of Arizona VPN using your UA NetID/password before logging into UAccess Research.
